On October 23, 2025, the AI4Agri consortium gathered at the Hala Kultury in Łomża, Poland, for the Final Conference of the AI4Agri EU Project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. The event, titled “Developing Green and Digital Skills Towards AI Use in Agriculture,” marked the culmination of two years of collaboration among European partners dedicated to advancing innovation, digitalization, and sustainability in vocational agricultural education.
The conference was hosted by the Polish Farm Advisory and Training Centre, bringing together project partners, educators, policymakers, and representatives from the agricultural sector. Importantly, students from three agricultural schools in Łomża also attended, offering a fresh and youthful perspective on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital skills can transform modern farming.
The program opened with welcoming remarks by Natalia Truszkowska and a presentation of the project’s journey by Ewa Bajno, followed by partner introductions from IRIS Sustainable Development (Sweden), Strategic OMNIA Research and Technology Development Ltd (Cyprus), ThinkOnception (Greece), and YET AMKE (Greece).
Each partner shared their contributions to the project, highlighting AI4Agri’s tangible results:
Final Analysis (A2.4) – presented by Nikoletta Nikolaidou (OMNIA)
AI4Agri Curriculum, Pedagogical Manual, and Training Modules (A3.1 & A3.3) – presented by Vassilis Tsoulis and Nasos Panagiotidis (YET)
Pilot Testing Report (A3.4) – presented by Stefania Fafaliou (ThinkOn)
AI4Agri E-learning Platform (A3.2) – presented by Nikoletta Nikolaidou (OMNIA)
Policy Recommendations Report (A4.2) – presented by Natalia Truszkowska (PFA)
Project Website and Dissemination Overview (A5.1) – presented by Elissavet Lafazanou (IRIS Sustainable Development)
The second part of the event featured insightful presentations from external speakers, including:
Minister Stefan Krajewski – on the future of Polish agriculture, agricultural education, and youth support programs
MP Bogumiła Olbryś – on education in a rapidly changing world and the evolving needs of the labor market
Klaudia Witulska (Eurodesk Łomża) – on the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ Programme for vocational education and training
A moderated discussion led by Karolina Krzykowska (Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University) featured expert contributions from Igor Skrodzki (MANS University), Sylwia Makowska (Director of the VET and General Education School Complex No. 7 in Łomża), and Cezary Banach (Ewa & Cezary Banach Farm). The discussion explored how modern technologies, non-formal education, and entrepreneurial skills can enhance agricultural learning and support the next generation of farmers.
The participation of students from three agricultural schools in Łomża was one of the conference’s highlights. Their engagement reflected AI4Agri’s mission: to equip young people with green and digital skills and inspire them to view agriculture as an innovative, technology-driven profession. Students had the chance to explore the project’s e-learning platform, discuss the role of AI in sustainable farming, and interact directly with experts and policymakers.
The AI4Agri Final Conference concluded with closing reflections, evaluations, and an informal networking lunch, fostering new connections and ideas for collaboration beyond the project’s lifetime.
The event not only celebrated the achievements of AI4Agri but also reinforced its long-term sustainability. The project’s results — including its training curriculum, e-learning platform, and policy recommendations — will remain freely available to educators, trainers, and institutions committed to integrating digital innovation into agricultural education.
